Historical Events - Yom Kippur Sacrifice

Question - Are Messianic Jews really Jewish?

The Talmud recounts the Yom Kippur sacrifice was not accepted by Ha-Shem from 30 CE to 70 CE  (R. Eleazer Yoma 39b) when the temple was destroyed.  This was determined by a red strip that would become white if Ha-Shem accepted the Sacrifice.

Why would Ha-Sham not accept the sacrifice?  Had our people sinned in such a way as Ha-Shem would not forgive, or had a new method of forgiveness been provided?

The Rabbis teach: prayer, repentance & charity as the replacement for sacrifice.  Do these truly take the place of the atonement specified in Torah?

There is a debate, that often turns vicious as to whether people of Jewish descent are still Jews if they accept Yeshua of Nazaret as Messiah.

Recent polls in Israel showed 69% of all Jewish believed a person is still Jewish even if they believed in Yeshua as Messiah.

Given that Jews today are more often secular or followers of another religion besides Judaism, is it right to exclude Jews who believe in a Jew, Yeshua of Nazaret, as Messiah.

Many of these Jews, who refer to themselves as Messianic Jews, are Torah observant, kosher, keep the feasts and openingly support Jewish causes and Israel.  They often serve as a bridge to teach Gentiles, who believe in "Jesus", the blessings of Ha-Shem and the Jewish people.

Do these groups help the Jewish people?  Do their actions spread understanding and tolerance?
